A bit of Japan at Morven

Today, while Michelle and Rowan were busily planting the cucumbers, squash and melons that we picked up from last night's trip to Lowes, Marie and I had the opportunity to take a little trip to Japan.  Yes, that's right.  Just inside Morven, there's a beautiful Japanese garden that has plenty of bamboo to offer.  Here at Morven, we are all about reusing, so we are taking advantage of the abundant supply of bamboo and plan to use them in the garden.  Armed with our special bamboo saws, we harvested our future stakes for our tomatoes and peppers, trellises for our peas and tipis for our tomatoes.  We are also looking into seeing if we can use the bamboo to construct some sort of  shade structure.  More to come about that later!
