Hoping for "Knee High by the Fourth of July"

We have now expanded the garden to include three quadrants.  Yesterday we busily planted some Silver King Corn seeds.  "Some" may actually be an understatement.  Rowan and I planted 17 rows, each consisting of approximately 80 seeds.  For those of you like myself whose brains aren't wired for mental math, we are expecting to have 1360 stalks!I'm looking forward to all those delicious corn dishes - raw, grilled, corn muffins, salsa, popcorn and the list goes on!As for other happenings, last night we had our first CSA meeting and the opportunity to meet our first month's wonderful shareholders.  I'm thrilled to say that we've got a diverse group of people and that each and every one of them seem as excited about the program as we are.I'll end this post with a toast - here's to our first-pick up tomorrow.  Cheers!P.S. A brief update on the squash, cucumber and melon seeds - they've germinated and are growing bigger and bigger each day.  We knew they could do it!
