Farewell to Isabel and New Garden Co-Managers

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe veggies are drooping (partly from all the rain, but mostly) because Morven's amazing summer intern, Isabel, has temporary left the garden... and Charlottesville... and Virginia... and the U.S.!  She took such good care of the garden this summer, ran the wonderful summer CSA sessions with a great group of summer volunteers, and put on the smashing Gazpacho in the Garden event.  All the plants were well-tended in her capable hands, but she has left for Canada to study abroad at the University of British Columbia.  She'll be back in a year, but we'll miss her terribly.  We wish her the best of luck!OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERARelated to that sad news, we'd like to announce that there will be 2 co-managers of the garden this fall, taking the reigns to organize workdays during the week, bring educational events to the garden, and to run the fall CSA.  Sam Taggart and Erin Kennedy are the new managers for the fall, so any volunteers and CSA members will be getting to know them well this fall.  If you have any questions for us regarding volunteering, workdays, or the CSA, please don't hesitate to email morvenkitchengarden@virginia.edu or Sam and Erin at spt8at@virginia.edu and emk7jj@virginia.edu respectively.
